Now, I haven't been skiing in over ten years, and remember those Wolverine-like plates in my arms??? Yeah! Hello??? What was I thinking?! Don't worry, I consulted with my doctor and his response was, "Well, anyone can kill or hurt themselves skiing.....so go for it!" Excellent.
Despite my doctor's overwhelming encouragement I hit the slopes with all of the bravery and tenacity as any idiot, and loved it! Now, I wont say that I wasn't in any pain because pushing my arse across a plateau of snow with 80 lbs of ski clothes on ain't easy! I honestly didn't fall too much. As long as I was flying down the mountain I was fine. Standing is what gave me trouble....imagine that! By the 3rd day we decided to ditch those Schoolmarm wieners and cruise down a few blue slopes (all unbeknown to Paige, but that is for a whole other post! Can we say anger, wrath, drama queen??!!) We had a great time! My favorite part was getting to spend time with my dad......or watching Nathan knock the air out of himself after missing a schoolgirl jump. Gotta love it!
