January Wedding

Brenham is known as being a huge baseball town, and this groom's cake further affirms the claim. These little cake toppers were too cute! If you've got to incorporate baseball into your wedding decor this is definitely the way to do it. I love that this couple chose to be a little more nontraditional with their wedding cakes. I feel like a wedding is so much more fun and personal when people let go of tradition and choose to truly express themselves in every aspect of the wedding process.

The groom chose to have carrot cake, and I could not have been more pleased with his choice. Carrot cake is one of my favs, and I'm not going to lie.... this stuff is good! I haven't made this much carrot cake since I worked at Trulucks, and it was pretty tough to haul these cakes around. I used almost 3 1/2 gallons of cream cheese icing and 40 quarts of carrot cake batter! Let's just say my arms were a little shaky and I was a little out of breath by the time I got that huge tub of icing to the fridge. I only thought I was back in shape.
