I returned Friday from an amazing week at camp with the youth from our church. God really worked in their lives last week, and I am so excited to see them continue to grow! We really have amazing students in our youth group.....they are so much fun to be with. Most counselors come back from camp grumpy, and ready for a break, but I can honestly say that being at camp with them was a piece of cake. I could have stayed longer except I couldn't bare sharing a shower with 30 other teenage girls and nasty camp food any longer! I truly love our youth, and am looking forward to hanging out with them all summer.... can we say Twilight party when I return??!! Whoo!
In exactly 6 hours I will be leaving for Israel for almost 2 weeks. I went there about 2 years ago, and the experience changed my life.... or at least my outlook on life. I can't wait to head there again. I know that each time I go the experience will be different, and I will see the same places with fresh eyes and a new perspective. I am really looking forward to going this time with my parents, and seeing them soak in every amazing detail.
I'll be back to baking soon, but in the meantime I'll be tasting and photographing some delicious Mediterranean food for you! Shalom!
