I Need a Little Pumpkin Cheesecake in My Life.... Soon!

As I type a tropical storm is blowing through, numerous tornado watches have been announced, and there is currently a flash flood warning in effect. It is thundering loudly and the rain is doing a wonderful job of coming in at about an 80ยบ angle....just right to give my car a nice wash under the carport. Thank you, Tropical Storm Hermine.

Oddly enough, I love these kinds of days. The sounds of rain and the leak dripping into a metal bowl in my office, accompanied by the background music of David Gray, Patty Griffin, and Ray LaMontagne are the perfect sound track to a day full of baking.

I know that it is not quite the fall season yet, but I just can't keep from making something pumpkin any longer! When is the appropriate time to begin using this ingredient? October? Do you know? Does it really matter?? I have it in my heart to make a delicious pumpkin cheesecake, but I can't seem to remember which recipe I used last year....... I think I made pumpkin cheesecake last year. Do you have a great pumpkin cheesecake recipe? Please share. I promise to give you credit.

I'm pretty sure it is nearing pumpkin baking season since I've already gotten my first candy corn stomach ache. My mom bought me my first bag of the season (yes, there will be many, many more bags), and I'm trying to decide the appropriate amount of time to wait before I buy another bag. Two days is probably good enough. Maybe if I eat them while riding the elliptical it will turn into negative calories....... could happen.... could be an Oktoberfest miracle!
